FAA Level 3 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults
Rhys is a qualified teacher with an MA in Outdoor Education and experience working with groups from all backgrounds in a variety of activities, both indoors and outdoors. This has provided insight into the issues different workforces can face and how best to protect yourself and those in your charge.
This one-day (7-hour) course gives you the knowledge and understanding surrounding safeguarding principles. Information I cover on this Ofqual/ Qualifications Wales course includes;
- Safeguarding Legislation and Guidance
- Indicators of abuse and neglect
- Making judgements
- Communicating worries and concerns
- Roles and responsibilities
- Sharing information
- Allegations and complaints
- Reporting allegations and complaints
The above list is a guide; in certain environments, some aspects are more useful than others. I can also provide additional training for certain groups, i.e. additional paediatric first aid, etc.
